Haiti Relief Shoe Collection

HAITI RELIEF
The Social Action Committee, in conjunction with the Girl Scouts, is collecting shoes for the Haitian population, who recently suffered a devastating 7.0 earthquake.

Many people in Haiti do not even own one pair of shoes!  We need gently used sneakers, work boots, sandals, and flip-flops.  Please drop off your shoes in the collection bin located in front of the library by February 28th.

Thank you !!!

Board of Trustees Nominations

BOARD OF TRUSTEES NOMINATIONS
2010-2011

A Nominating Committee has been appointed and will be working on a slate proposal for the 2010-2011 Board of Trustees during the next few months. This proposed slate will come for a vote at the Annual Congregational Meeting in June.

The Committee will be working hard to find the right balance between retaining members with experience in synagogue leadership and expanding the circle so that more members have a voice in setting the future direction of Adath Emanu-El.  If you would like to be considered for a Board position, please contact one of our Nominating Committee members.

The members of the 2010 Nominating Committee are:  Lee Anne Fischl (chair), Cheryl Aboloff, Jennifer DuFault James, Phil Edelstein, and Stacey Helfman.

Early Childhood Registration for 2010-2011

Early Childhood Registration for 2010-2011

We are planning for the year ahead and hope that you will be with us.  We are now accepting registration for preschool and our summer camp programs.

In our preschool, children who are registering for our 2-year-old classes will have an option of enrolling for either two or three mornings.  We will continue to provide weekly music classes and a creative movement gym program for our 3- and 4-year-old classes and twice-monthly computer classes for our 4-year-olds.   We are happy to announce that we will be offering a new option for early morning drop-off for all children attending our program.

We are pleased to offer our Kindergarten Enrichment Program for those children who attend morning or afternoon kindergarten programs.  This program includes activities designed to enrich their morning or afternoon kindergarten curriculum.

Registration is also being accepted for our summer camp program for children 2 to 4 years old.  We are planning a different expedition each week filled with arts & crafts, music, drama, water activities and special events.

Please contact Laurie Purcell, Early Childhood Director for more information and/or a registration packet for either of these programs.  You may call (856) 608-1200 or email at ecc@adathemanuel.com.  Space is limited!
