ADL's Walk Against Hate
LET'S TAKE A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION Join the Anti-Defamation League and the Adath Emanu-El Social Action Committee as we "Walk Against Hate" on May 19th. The Anti-Defamation League has repeatedly provided our religious school with anti-bias, anti-bullying programs at no cost to our synagogue. It is now time to work together to ensure the continued programming that benefits so many. Together, we can make a bold statement. So join us for this 5K WALK on MAY 19, at MARTIN LUTHER KING, Jr. DRIVE in PHILADELPHIA. The gathering place is next to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Registration starts at 1 pm and the Walk begins at 2:45. The registration fee is $5 for youths, $10 for adults. The South Jersey synagogues will walk together to demonstrate our solidarity. We will be known as The South Jersey Jewish Connection. So join us as we say loud and clear that we are together in this Walk Against Hate. Questions? Ask Helen Weinheimer at (856) 983-8322. See you there.

Adath Food Drive
Jewish Family and Children's Service have made an urgent request for the following kosher donations:
Tuna fish, kid-friendly snacks, cereal, apple juice, white rice, instant mashed potatoes, canned salmon, canned fruit & veggies, grape jelly, mac and cheese. Also in need of diapers.
We GREATLY appreciate your support and any items you can give to help meet the need! When you attend Kabbalat Shabbat Service... When you come to pay a bill... When you drop off the children for Religious School... Any time you visit the Temple is a good time to remember those less fortunate. Please bring along a non-perishable food donation whenever you visit Adath Emanu-El. The current economic crisis has resulted in food banks that literally cannot keep food on their shelves. As soon as the food comes in, it goes right back out. In many cases, food banks have had to turn people away because they have nothing to give. We as Jews have an obligation to help whenever and wherever we can. So open your hearts and your pantries, chaverim, and flood the synagogue with generous giving.
