Keep the Adath Emanu-El Gift Card program in mind for all of your spending throughout the year. Whether you are buying groceries, seeing a movie, going out to eat, getting new clothes, restocking your office supplies, filling your gas tank, downloading a new book to your Kindle or doing home repairs and renovations, the gift card program has a way for you to help support Adath -- while spending money you were going to spend anyway.

It's perfect for that spur-of-the-moment decision to eat out or sudden need to fix something that just broke in the house or that gift you need at the last minute.
Don't forget that you can use gift card purchases to fulfill your $80 directed dues requirement. All you need to do is purchase at least $1,600 worth of cards before June 30 to meet that requirement.
Every gift card you purchase helps raise money for the congregation with-out actually costing you a penny since all cards are sold at face value. Welcome to the Adath Emanu-El Gift Card Program.
Why are we selling gift cards? This is a great way to raise funds for the congregation that doesn't actually cost you a penny. While spending money you would be spending anyway, you can help support the synagogue.
Gift cards are sold at face value, so if you pay $25 you get a $25 gift card. The great thing is that the synagogue gets a rebate for every card sold ranging from about 2% to 15% or more. As you will see on the order form, cards are available from a wide variety of retailers. There is something on the list for everyone, making this a program that all congregants can participate in and help support our synagogue. We have already sold well over $180,000 worth of gift cards since starting this great program.
Use the order form to purchase gift cards to supermarkets, stores, restaurants, theaters and more. Buy gift cards to use yourself for your weekly grocery shopping, your morning coffee, family dinners out, movie tickets, hotel stays and more. You can also buy gift cards to give as gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, Chanukah, etc. Not only that, but anybody can buy gift cards through this program so feel free to share the order form with your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers. The more cards we sell, the more money we earn to help Adath Emanu-El.
How Do I Order? Just review the order form, indicate which cards you would like to order and return the form with your check (made payable to Adath Emanu-El) to the temple office. Orders are currently placed on or about the 1st and 15th of the month and the cards are available for pick up in the office a few days later. Order as often as you'd like. And remember, gift cards don't expire so it is never too soon to start thinking about upcoming gift needs. The Order Form lists about 150 national and local companies. The complete company list (see link below) includes every available gift card offered through this program including many places that are not in our area. You may wish to browse that list if you frequently travel or have friends and family living in other parts of the country for whom you'd like to buy gift cards (or get them to buy gift cards to help support Adath Emanu-El). If you ever want to order any items not on the order form, just write them in at the bottom.
